The table above compares the two apps closest to Voice Sync AI on features. They are not the only options, and for some workflows they are not the right ones. Here is an honest read of the field as of August 2026, including apps we do not compete with directly.
The most complete cross-surface option. Its VoiceGlide feature scrolls with your speech, and unlike a few years ago it now runs on iOS, macOS, Android and the web — so voice-activated scrolling by itself is no longer unusual. Its stage directions, colour-coded cues like [pause] or [look left] embedded in the script, are genuinely useful and we do not have an equivalent. If you want to write in a browser on a laptop and prompt from a phone without installing anything, this is the strongest choice. It is also the most expensive of the apps here.
The longest-running voice-tracking teleprompter, and VoiceTrack is mature and well tested across iOS, Android, Windows and Mac. A free Lite tier lets you evaluate it properly. Its limitation is breadth: voice tracking covers a small set of languages, and pricing is subscription-only with no one-time option.
The most interesting recent entrant, and in several respects ahead of us. Its web app is free and open source with 34 auto-detected languages, and the native apps report 40+ speech recognition locales on Android and 60+ on Apple devices — broader Android language coverage than we currently ship. It matches your speech against the entire script rather than the next few words, so you can ad-lib, skip ahead or backtrack and it follows, including scrolling backwards. On Mac its window is excluded from screen capture, so it stays invisible in Zoom, Meet, Teams and OBS. Native apps are free to try with three saved scripts and offer a one-time Lifetime purchase. One distinction worth understanding if privacy matters to you: the free web app recognises speech through the browser's Web Speech API, which generally means your audio is sent to a speech service rather than processed locally. Its own documentation is clear that the native Apple apps run recognition on-device, while Android does so only when a compatible language pack is installed. The script text stays local in every case — it is the audio that differs. That trade-off is the price of the free browser version, and it applies to any browser-based teleprompter, not just this one.
This is the one place our approach genuinely diverges from the field. On Android we ship our own speech models inside the app rather than calling the system speech service, so voice scrolling runs with no network connection and does not depend on which language packs happen to be installed on that phone. It is also why our Android language list is shorter than our iOS one: each language is a model we have to bundle, not a name on someone else's list.
Not really a teleprompter competitor so much as a content pipeline that contains one. It bundles an AI script writer, eye-contact correction, auto-captions, a brand kit and direct social publishing, with a free plan and paid tiers starting around $24.99/month. If you want a single tool that takes you from blank page to published post, BIGVU does far more than we do. If you already have an editing workflow and just need the prompting to be excellent, you are paying for a lot you will not use.
Worth knowing about for language coverage — it advertises 50+ languages on iOS and 10 on Android. That iOS-versus-Android split is common across this whole category, ours included.
A comparison page written only by the vendor is worth very little, so here is where we genuinely lose:
What is left after all of that is the thing we are actually built around, and it is the one capability none of the apps above offer: turning the phones and tablets you already own into a coordinated prompting rig, on one account, across both platforms.
